Mobile hairdressers

Recommended Posts

Hey all, what are your thoughts on mobile hairdressers? I desperately need my hair doing, but the thought of sitting in a salon for hours fills me with dread. This is due to my M.E, I get very tired and when I'm tired I get stressed/anxious, so I would much rather be in the comfort of my own home.

Unfortunately I don't just want a standard cut & blow I need my hair dying back to it's natural colour with some highlights and lowlights (and maybe some red splashes), so this may make things slightly inconvinient.

Any thoughts/experience offererd would be appreciated!

One of the girls from our local salon decided to work for herself and go mobile due to the high cost of renting a chair in the salon. She is brill, comes out to your house, charges a fraction of the cost that she did in the salon and can do all sorts of styles and colours. She even bought with her a portable wash basin !!! so as not to stain our sink. My DD has her come round to colour her hair and she is very impressed.

I've had the same mobile hairdresser for years. Even though I moved to Faringdon five years ago I still go back to Milton Keynes regularly and she meets me at my parents house to cut my hair, I honestly couldn't trust anybody else with it. She does mums hair and all of my kids too. If she uses dye we just wash it off with the shower head in mums bathroom :D
