A new knitting & sewing group is starting up near to me. It's on Wednesdays through the day - I wonder if hubby will let me have some time away from work so that I can attend a few times? Perhaps I could then learn socks & circular knitting.

In the good old days when kids were young and I worked nights I used to go to a group like that, its great for just nattering, getting inspiration and learning.

I go to one twice a month. Good to meet others and have a natter. I thought we might end up just talking sewing - but there are a couple I've found I get on really well with and we spend all evening talking allotments; chickens and baking as well as sewing/knitting!
