Just found a fabulous pair of jeans in Matalan - they're by Rogers and Rogers, so are designed for those of us who are, shall we say, of a less-than-svelte shape

 

They've got a tummy flattening panel (which I have to say doesn't really seem to do a huge amount on me), but the best bit is that they have an adjustable waistband - theres elastic sewn in that connects to two little buttons, so if the jeans fit on the hips but not waist you can just pull them in a tad

 

I'm in love!

 

 

I used tobe a 10-12 (many, MANY moons ago) but have gradually put on weight over the past 10 years due to a combination of things - mostly my eating more than I should. exercising LESS than I should and really enjoying my food! Am now on a calorie counting diet which means none of my current clothes seem to fit properly, all are either too big or too small (from my slimmer days), so these jeans are absolutely perfect and less than £20!!

 

Only problem is that the smallest size is an 18, however I've found they're a more or less perfect fit on me because I have a big bum (ahem)....

 

 

Just thought I'd spread some good news so those of us sick to death of jeans that fit on hips but gape at the back!!!

sadly not , only the tummy bit You can buy very posh tummytuck jeans on the web that do just about everything except make a cup of tea, but they cost around £165 which I thought was a smidgen excessive for jeans!!

Mmm I'll have 2 pairs i like my cheapie New Look ones. they dont flatten anything but are mega comfy. We dont have Matalan nearby. Must check and see if any have opened up round here.

Am very naughty, went to buy a SINGLE pairs of jeans, came back with three tops, 2 handbags (couldn't decide between them and at a few quid each thought stuff it), 1 coat and the aforementioned jeans

Believe it or not after signing off yesterday the local rag plopped through the door with a spread re a new Mataln in Colindale. I will be dashing off when better to peruse the jeans
