Ygerna
We have friends coming over to take the children to the local (but HUGE) firework display. I will be doing a hot supper for when they get back. I've decided to do a rice pudding because, (wait till you hear this...) I offered my children rice pudding for dessert last night, DD asked 'Did you make it mummy' I replied no and she said 'Yuck then, no thanks I dont like it from tins!' (its a very, VERY rare thing to hear any of my children say they prefer mine to a manufactured product). So, rice pudding it is.. But, what to do for the main course? I was thinking something with Rice, or Jacket potatoes, a casserole, or stew but cannot find a recipe I like. So, here I am, asking the best source of recipes I know of Can you help? bluekarin
As you are having rice for the pud I would do jacket potatoes with a chilli on top, maybe a bit of grated cheese, and some tzatziki we had that the other night and it was delish. It has the plus of keeping for a while if they are held up with traffic on the way back and will most definitely warm them up. Also some hot choc with marshmallows on the top.
