JanTheDiver
I am not sure if I want advice or just comments on this My chief honcho chicken, Tikka, has stopped laying in the last week, she has also stopped talking (used to have trouble shutting her up ) and crouching. Now when I let her out into the play pen she goes mad running around, chasing the others with her head down; she used to do this a little bit but no where near as much as she does now. This afternoon she jumped over the play pen's fence and into the rest of the garden; she has never jumped anywhere before let alone over the fence We managed to catch her and put her in the play pen and she was fine after that. I also found a worm in a poo this morning (don't know whose it was) so am wondering if this is her problem, so am starting the wormer again tomorrow for all of them I suppose my questions are a) Do I have a chicken gone mad? b) could this change in personality just be down to worms? She is eating, drinking and pooing normally. Any advice or comments would be greatly received
Plum
Hum how odd. I know when mine have been off it with moulting or soft eggs they are a bit more fiesty and dominant, I guess because they feel vulnerable. But yours just sounds crazy. Better worm her and stop the E numbers
Egluntyne
Looks as if her hormones have dipped, and their behaviour changes when this happens. They become less friendly and harder to catch.
JanTheDiver
She is definitely less friendly and doesn't even want a stroke Can I do anything about the dipping of the hormones?
