Pro - Does anyone else's nest boxes get soaked in rain?

Hello..

I'm sure someone has wrote this before but i couldn't find it..

 

What do you use to hold the glug and grub in your walk in run. As the wire i am to purchase is roughly an 1"x1"..

I'm sure i have seen someone use one of those ikea rails..

What size did you get and can it hold both grub and glug.. Also what do you do about the superglug as I am thinking about getting one when I build the walk in run.. How high do you place it.. Do you again use the ikea rail?

 

Any ideas more than welcome!

Those rails are perfect, the longer one holds both, the shorter one doesnt hold both

 

Mine are about a foot from the ground

and if that doesn't work, do the cheap tacky version like I did . Cable ties fastened through the wires to make loops which I hang the feeders from .

I've cabled tied a bit of laminate flooring to one of the WIR panels - the groove is just right for the hooks on the glug/grub .

i screwed a bit of 4mm plywood onto the kick board i have. They sit on that perfectley

B&Q do a nice aluminium angle, this wont rot like laminate flooring which is only paper.

Screw a batten across two uprights and screw said angle to top at height to suit. it works perfectly

My WIR has the 1"x1" and all i did was cut one piece of wire off making a 2"x1" gap, perfect fit for the super glug and grub! They just hang on the wire.
