Gelbel
Yes, yes, yes! One of my girls has turned into Houdini. DH said yesterday that we need some sort of big pen thingy with a roof and a door to walk in. So that's a WIR for me next summer (when I should get a bonus ) - I can fudge it in the meantime. JS1
Congratulations - it's great when they come up with these ideas independently, isn't it?
Gelbel
It seems to me we all start off with a little house and a little run but, if you have the space, you end up with some great palace with a WIR. But I am NOT getting any more girls. You can hold me to that. I genuinely feel I do not have the room for more than 3 to FR nicely and I am too lazy for the introductions and all that malarky. Margaret
off course....Whatever We all said that only an Eglu and 2 Girlies.. Slim
Strange how that always happens!
Space Chick
I agree, I started with 4 and a cube in April, the WIR was built in July and 4 girls added, then came the ex batts, then a couple more pure breeds I couldn't resist. So count now at 12, and total expenditure to date probably around £4000 (By the time you include everything cube, WIR, webcam, tables, food, bedding etc etc) So looking at my current egg tally, I reckon an egg costs around a fiver
Margaret
Eggs... What are those + WIR Lavender Mabel Posh Marjorie Violet
Chicken Shirl
Our eggs cost about 20euros each. We built a shed and run that is now vacant. That was a fortune. Are we happy though? Yes indeed we are.
