I've just made my 4 year old daughter an egg mayo roll with our very first egg, laid on Sunday, after we got our chckens last Friday! I wasn't expecting any eggs yet either! Here's to many more...... Emz24
Recieved our 2nd egg today, however still no clue as to who is laying them?!?! How did you find out who it was... Also let them out today for the first time, everything was running smoothly until we had to get them back in!!!
docsquid
How did you find out who it was... I rely on seeing who is going into the nest box, otherwise I wouldn't know. Luckily I can see the cube from the back windows of the house and keep tabs on their whereabouts. I was keeping them in until Blodwyn had laid an egg, but today I let them out as by 11.30am I thought she wasn't going to oblige. Then I saw her pottering up into the cube even though she was out FR, and lo and behold a bit later there was another egg. You just have to spy on them a bit!
