Jules.
We're going through a Ready Brek phase in our house but it doesn't seem to last as long as porridge oats, & also is much more expensive. The ingredients state that its mainly made from ground oats, so I'm going to have a go at whizzing some oats up in my blender to see if I can grind them down enough to make then powdery like Ready Brek is, & so have cheap breakfasts once again. Anyone done this already?
Chucky Mama
No, haven't done it Jules but would be interested in finding out how you get on.
welovemarmite
Trying to get my head round ready brek. I used to love it as a kid but just can't make myself even like it now!
chickencam
My lot eat a lot of Oat So simple, which is just measured sachets of porridge oats with something added to reduce boiling over in the microwave.i will only buy them when they are BOGOF. i oject when oats are so cheap. It does mean however that they can do their own breakfasts easily which is good at a weekend.
Becka
I used to use Oats so simple but now just use 26g of oats and 180ml of milk and microwave for two and a half minutes and it works just as well. I stir it as soon as it looks like it's going to boil over but I had to do that with the sachets too! Becka
