My Ruby can be good when she wants to, but when she has that 'saluki blindness' and the bit is between her teeth, her hearing gets very selective. I loved a friend's comment the other day about the saluki urge to run (very fast): To me Salukis are the wind - you can't really stop the spirit of thousands of years Salukis are one of the oldest breeds, being depicted on carvings in pyramids and used for desert hunting in Arabia.
