Ain't Nobody Here
I would cancel your roosting bars if you can . They are really easy to wash, dry and put back in minutes . (Don't worry if you can't cancel though, if you have 2 sets you'll not be under pressure to wash & dry them quickly!)

sandyhas3chucks
I see you have lots of shoppig time shredded paper is fine in the nest box. Ex batts don't know about these things tho my 3 used to squabble for the nest box to slep in, my neighbour 2 doors along commented on the row At 1st I put straw on the roosting bars, later I removed them and put 2 washing up bowls in, and they had a bed each. someone else put a litter tray in. now I put aubiose in the tray and take out the bars and 3 or 4 happily snugle up together. Poop picking is easiest with auboise or similar, doesn't get soggy lik shredded paper.

I rang up Omlet when ordering mine in July, and was told that they all shipped with plastic ones now.

sandyhas3chucks
some take to it quite quickly when they are strong enough and some never roost. I left the front one on as an option for them.
Valkyrie
Dustpan and shovel for those poop scooping moments. I'm thinking of getting a long handled dustpan (I've seen them in Waitrose) so that I don't have to bend over so far (creak go the old knees) - and I use a childrens old garden spade! Wound powder - always handy - mine tend to shove their heads into rose bushes so a quick squirt on the comb stops the others pecking at the scratch. Some things I still add to. Started off with a shelf and now I have a chicken cupboard that's full to overflowing with assorted paraphernalia!
