The problem, apparently, is that it's illegal to kill an animal for entertainment. Well, Brendan Cole didn't get arrested for torturing and killing a chicken on a recent reality show did he? Besides, Gino et al killed the rat to eat it didn't they? for years on that prog they've eaten live grubs, cockroaches, mealworms etc and "Ooops, word censored!"ody bats an eyelid! I'm not saying I agree with it, it always makes me cringe actually thinking about all the poor bugs getting squished for the sake of entertainment but why the fuss over the rat? Couperwife Posted December 7, 2009 Share Posted December 7, 2009 oh, I heard about this on the news earlier apparently, the rat was a domestic rat, or a pet or something like that, I think if it was a wild one then it wouldnt have been a problem, but cos it was a domestic rat, its now an issue. Ness3103 Posted December 7, 2009 Share Posted December 7, 2009 i hate the show because of the cruelty to the animals and insects. i didn't really understand why they killed the rat, they weren't starving! the rats they use in the tasks are tame and very used to human contact so they don't run away. gino caught the rat with his hands, which means it wasn't afraid and tame.
