Ain't Nobody Here
Welcome to the forum . Often they lay their first egg or two in the wrong place - as though they've been taken by surprise . You could try putting a golf ball or pot egg in the nestbox to give them the idea where they should lay. (I've popped your post into Eggs - I can see why you put it in "Nesting Box" but that's not for real nestbox questions .)
sjp
it took my hybrids over a month to learn to use the nest box and that was only after I put a plant pot in each of the 2 corners of the coop to stop them laying there. Rusty my CLB laid her first on Monday in the nest box but I think she's got more brain cells than the 2 big girls any way

Cats and Chickens
I am having the same problem with one of mine. Lucia laid her first egg on Thursday in the coop not in the nesting box, Friday in the run and Saturday in the run again but only after visiting both nesting boxes to turf the Aubiose out! I am hoping that once she gets the hang of things she may realise where she's supposed to lay.
