Pro - Does anyone else's nest boxes get soaked in rain?

As the ground is so wet at the moment I was thinking of setting up a dust bath in the run but not sure what to put in it, what do others use please? I've got a shallow trug thing but not sure what to put in it.......

i get a bag of top soil from b&q, mix some diatom and louse powder in with it, just needs a bit of time to dry out and they love it

Wow Rufus, that's brilliant and one of those covered cat litter trays will be perfect. Aaagh I threw out a leaky one (ewww!) not so long ago!

 

We're lucky as we have a dry area underneath the overhanging nestbox that the girls love to use... no stopping them, just soil!
