That's much better Tracy, and must feel more private for you too.

 

I can sit in my lounge without being looked at by builders - the cement mixer comes out most days they are working and appears in the middle of the site and they spend a lot of time standing with it - at least now I can only see their wolly hats over the top of the fence.

 

I feel as though I have got my house back!

I have also noticed my cat seems to be sitting in the same position in the lounge in both photos - trust me he did move in the week between the two pictures!

Im glad you have some privacy back. It's not nice being opposite a building site, have you heard when they will finally be done?

They claim they will be out around the end of Feb - but it has taken from October to get to this stage and they haven't even started the roof (it is the 'small' extension you can see here and another 20ft+, some 2-storey out the back) and then all rooms internally are moving e.g. the kitchen becomes the dining room, the boiler gets moved to the other end of the house and they have two bathrooms a kitchen and utility to fit out as well as making new doors in walls and all the landscaping - I will be very surprised if they are out by end of Feb.

Now how about replacing that screening with a row of nice Leylandii in the spring
