sjp
condensation is normally caused by poor ventilation and/or cold air on the outside and warm air on the inside of either a glass surface or a metal surface we get it a lot on none thermal Aluminium doors and frames at work if you increase the air flow It should reduce the condensation
chick wiggle
Thanks sjp, the run is in a very sheltered position in the garden and we also have tarpaulin up on two sides to protect it from the rain blowing in. Dont seem to be able to win, it either gets wet from the rain or wet from condensation
chelsea
We had this the weekend in our WIR. Hubby says it's my fault because I removed the Omlet shades I had under the perspex sheeting roof. He said that having the shades hooked up under the roof created a pocket of airflow between the perspex and the shade therefore stopping the condensation dripping down (you with me still?!! ) So I have to put them back up, I took them down to hook on the sides of the WIR when we had all that rain. sjp
I hadn't read the post properly I thourght it was the coop not the run try shortning the tarps so that you've got a gap at the bottom if they go right to the floor and on the most shelttered side shorten the top that will create an air flow but if you've got a single skin plastic roof you will still get some condesation Edited December 16, 2009 by Guest
