madchickenlady
I have had to seperate Mini from the flock, and she is residing in the greenhouse. I have just seen that we are expecting snow tonight, and that the temperature will drop below freezing. So now I'm fretting about her Will she be ok on her own in the rabbit hutch with lots of wood shavings? The others will snuggle up together, but I am worried about Mini
The Dogmother
I'd pop a blanket over it, being careful to leave some ventilation. Their temp is higher than ours, so don't worry too much.

Thats useful to know. I was/am worried about Boo as she is in eglu on her own (still) (her run is 1m from other girls run so she can see them all day long - they free range together, most days - but I have still not managed to integrate them) When I am at home over Christmas (so can supervise) I hope to let Boo into other girls run just before bed time in the hope that a snuggly sleep together will teach Boo she has more to gain by being friends with the other 2 than she has by being a bully. The Dogmother
Eglus are well insulated, so they'll be OK. Be careful about the ventilation though, or just get a Snuggle safe to keep them warm. I shall close the cube door tonight for a change, the wind is really nippy. madchickenlady
Ok, so tonight Mini is still in the hutch in the greenhouse on her own, and it's going to get down to -7 She was fine last night, but should I be concerned tonight?
