meezers
Another below freezing, frosty morning. Muppet is the only one of my chooks still laying- albeit very sporadically, she fits in half a dozen between broody spells .I've been out to check group2s nestbox as it's over a week since Muppet stopped being broody and I live in hope of eggs before christmas. Instead of an egg I've got a nestbox full of Muppet feathers, what a time to start moulting that means apart from Doris who hasn't come into lay yet, I've got a full house of chooks in various stages of moult. ( and no eggs 'til spring by the looks of it
Tutti Frutti
Muppet - what a great name!!! I know I wouldn't be whipping my togs off in this weather (actually, ANY weather )!
dancing cloud
So very much not the time to start losing layers though if you leave them in the nestbox at least she could use them as a duvet at night My lot are moulting too - chickens eh !
