jenanddave13
Please can someone help me? I have two chickens one Araucana Leg Horn and a Buff Orpington, both 18 months old. Wilma the Buff stopped laying in June 09 and Betty the Araucana hasn't laid for about 2 months. The Buff previously laid around 3-4 a week and the Araucana about 6 a week. Both seem happy and healthy, eating and drinking as normal. Around Easter Wilma laid a few eggs with a very thin shell, we increased there grit (cooked egg shells). Nothing has changed within their environment - so we are totally stumped at what to do now! Hopefully someone can help.... Plum
I'd wait until spring before worrying but to be honest I wouldn't bet on anything from Wilma Why not get some hybrids if you want lots of eggs and keep Wilma as a beautiful pet
Redwing
I'd certainly try worming them As Plum says wait for the spring until you start to worry though
