Urgent advice needed- problem with new cube building!

Recommended Posts

DH and DS built the new cube today whilst I was at work but have hit snags.......

One side (door opening gadget side) does NOT seem to want to fit properly.....the moulded shape of it doesn't fit easily with the fixings to the front and back and this means that that once assembled

The front side is slightly higher than the roof

There is a gap there and the roof corner wobbles

The bolt at the back holding the back to that side has to be forced to slide into position

When the removable part of the back is up in position, there is a lop sided gap along the bottom where it sits along the bit where the nesting trays go.

And I can see lots of gaps and light inside when I stick my head in!!!

DH reckons that this is a just a badly moulded side throwing everything out of line

Help - advice please.

I intend to ring Omlet as soon as they are open after the hols but need to know if this is normal??

Worried of Rochester

That is a view from the inside of the front right. I'll take some of the outside and top of the right side when its light here.

By right do you mean it's right or right looking from the front. I don't want to photo the right side of the cube if the right side is the wrong side but if the right side is the rights side then its not the wrong side.

This is the view from in front it is pretty level

and with roof off

there are brackets which can be adjusted - the roof slider

and the side

there are plenty of gaps so perhaps the other side has been placed exactly and may improve if that is adjusted a bit.

Hope this gives you a guide how it could look. It was erected by Omlet so assume its ok. :D

Sorry to hear about your problem. we had similiar issues to do with the Cube. Omlet came out and assembled ours, but we started to notice that there was a problem with the roof. I took some photos and sent them to Omlet. They contacted me and said that there had been some manufacturing problems. Omlet arranged for a new cube which they assembled for me and took the other one away.

I have to say the service received was excellent.

Good luck.

Thanks very much.

Barbara from Omlet has contacted me, and I am going to send them some photos over the weekend ready for when they open.

Hopefully will be able to help, but we only had it couriered - so maybe they won't come out.

Thanks Plum, the photos are really helpful.

Fingers crossed!

Jan
