ChrisEllis
Hi I was wondering if anyone cna send me a link for a chart which tells you what colour indian runner duck you get when you cross it with another colour of indian runner duck etc. Thanks
tom123
There is no exact science to colour crossing exactly Chris. However, the same rule applies to chickens and it depends on the genetic make-up of the colour and the dominant genes. Also, Blue, Black & Splash ducks will all breed true to each other. ETA: Try this website tor colour crosses and genes.
ChrisEllis
Thanks for the reply - but that is impossible to understand, its all over the place. i should have asked what would you cross to get chocolate runner ducks
tom123
Ok The colour chocolate isn't that simple to produce otherwise if it was Choc Orps wouldn't be going for over £500! Chocolate runners are no where near as rare and are relatively easy to come buy (I have 2). I have seen a few HE on ebay or you could ring around your local breeders.
