oneyolktoanother Posted January 8, 2010 Share Posted January 8, 2010 I put my other post on the other day (hen bleeding on her back) well as you know i have been seperating them of a night shes comes in a box and i have seperated their run and her saddle came today its perfect so i went to put them back together and noticed blood on her foot she had knocked her scale off and it was bleeding so cleaned it up but they pecked her foot striaght away so separted them again went to put them away tonight and bring her in and noticed her beak is bleeding she has been running against the mesh trying to get to the others so i have cleaned her beak up with a struggle as she is not a good patient! so i am worried now do you think she will be able to back with the others tomorrow she is trying to do everything to get to them just need some advice still learning thanks in advance Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Ain't Nobody Here Posted January 8, 2010 Share Posted January 8, 2010 I think I'd keep her indoors for a day until you're sure the bleeding's stopped. (You can put cornflour on a wound to stop bleeding.) There's no harm keeping her in a box during the day as long as she's got food and water. If she has the saddle on, perhaps she'll be OK to go back with the others when the bleeding has stopped. Just seen what Plum's posted . We're not much help, giving you opposing advice. They are playing you up yes they are playing me up i just would love them to get back to normal on top of this our boiler has broken so no heating or hot water so not a great start to the year wander why she is hurting her beak and foot to get to them i know she is missing daisy and vice a versa as i bought them from wernlas at 5 days old and have never been apart even throught the mesh! they cant wait to be together as anyone else had probelms like this Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
