Pro - Does anyone else's nest boxes get soaked in rain?

Hi all,

 

When i had MJ s/he cheeped really loud pretty much all the time for about 10 days

 

 

Did s/he do this because s/he was lonely or was/is this normal for chicks?

 

Just wondering cuz i might have to sound proof my room lol (neighbours babies room is next to mine )

Some chicks are naturally noisy (Poppy!) but usually they're fairly quiet. If they're the right temperature then I've found they're noisy if they want attention, just like real babies I guess MJ was crying out for some mates.

They cheep loudly because they are too cold as a rule.

I did have a 60 watt spot bulb for MJ *the same type i use for my tortoises) and she didn't spend that much time under it
