quickcluck
having a little dilemma as we are away the weekend which is normally chook cleaning time, as we have the advantage of daylight hours! However we are away from friday sooooooooo what happens if you disturb them after they've gone to bed? thanks K
chelsea
Have never tried it... I suppose you could lift them all out and place in a nice cosy box somewhere quiet whilst you're doing the cleaning and then pop them back in when you are done. At least they'll be easy to handle. Redwing
I clean out coops a lot in the dark, if I didnt I wouldnt get a weekend!! If the coop is at ground level I chuck them out in to the run while they stand grumbling for a while but they soon get over it! as long as you have enough light to clean out by the chooks have enough light to see by so its not like they are stumbling about in the dark If the coop is high up I lift them down in to a box where they stand grumbling ......
