Grease marks on leather?

Recommended Posts

What a shame! As far as I know, don't rub it!! You can try sprinkling talcum powder on the stain and leave it for a while then shake it off. It might absorb some of the grease. You can also try things like cat grit (fullers earth) or even aubiose - anything that might just suck up the grease. Hopefully someone else will have a definite answer for you :D

RE: Cooking Grease on Gray Leather Shoes

GREASE

Steps:

1. Blot excess grease with a clean cloth.

2. Sprinkle talcum powder or cornstarch on the affected area.

3. Let sit for at least 4 hours, then wipe off the powder.

Although someone else says it won't work completely and to hope it fades. Otherwise, Claret, you might as well cover the rest in oil to match. Ooh or beeswax. I wonder if that does leather any good?
