The Dogmother
Slightly embarrassed here as I thought that Rosie had been playing a prank on me I had assigned some downloaded tones for the ringing and alert tones on my phone (Nokia 6303). The other day when it rang, the tone was the default Nokia tone, so I reset it back to my own tones. This time, it has defaulted again adn I now can't get to my own tones as it says 'memory card not formatted'. I have taken the SIM out and cleaned the contacts, turned the phone on and off to no avail... any ideas?
Geoid
Have you taken the memory card out and given that a clean too? If it still doesnt work you will have to format it, and lose all your data (on the memory card)
The Dogmother
I have tried that Fred (thanks), and cleaned all the internal contacts. I'll see how it is in the morning and take it into the Vodafone shop in town if it doesn't work better.
Ain't Nobody Here
I've had an unreadable sim card a couple of times but it then started working inexplicably. You may find it just comes good of its own accord! It wasn't "unformatted" though .
The Dogmother
Phew! I works this morning..... one of those inexplicable Technology glitches, I will still take it to the Vodafone shop at the weekend though and see if they know why it happened.
