I have two compartments to my run - half undercover with a deep woodchip floor (which is working well) and the other half is wire mesh roof and is a muddy mess (originally grass). The two areas evolved from introducing Little Jerry. My plan for the 'mud zone' is to dig down and fill in with a layer of sand and then a couple of inches of gravel. They will still have the woodchip area for digging but thought this area would be good for the feeder and water stations (away from flying woodchips) and would be easy to hose down? Any thoughts?
