Jen&Rog
Hi All I get emails from the Bumblebee Conservation Trust who are asking for everyone's votes so they get funding for a wildflower conservation area in Pembrokeshire to help prevent the national extinction of the shrill carder bee. There are several eco projects vying for funding; if you feel inclined to vote have a look at: http://www.livefortheoutdoors.com/News-Landing/Search-Results/Features/Vote-for-the-most-worthy-eco-project-right-here/ Thanks Jennie
Chucky Mama
Have cast my vote What a shame this isn't being done automatically though
A chickychickychick-ENN!!
I voted for it on the basis that I'm a sucker for the word 'extinction'. I can't help feeling wildlife habitats without any intervention from man would be better though. Bees and footpaths are not the most natural match in my conservation lexicon. MedusA
Gave it my vote too. I love all kinds of bees and have several different nests for solitary bees both at home and at my allotments, as well as my honeybees. It's saddening to think that so many bee species are facing extinction.
