miffy Posted February 5, 2010 Share Posted February 5, 2010 Primrose laid an egg today why the exceitment? she hasnt laid for over 2.5 months, and even then it was occasional. I wonder if it was anything to do with the arrival of Snowdrop & Crocus yesterday? the egg is striped in various shades of brown and rather elongated, do you think shes been trying to lay it for some time? Daphne Posted February 5, 2010 Share Posted February 5, 2010 my very unexpected 1st egg of the year today was also elongated, and laid in the run as it happens. I figured a) it took whoever laid it by surprise and b) maybe her laying tackle will take an egg or two to settle down, I don't normally get eggs this shape.
