Crooked toes

Recommended Posts

Thought I'd post this here instead of on the main chicken board.

I bought 8 new chooks yesterday, all about 21 weeks old. One of them has very crooked toes that I stupidly didn't notice when I got them.

It's a long trip back to the breeder for me and I can't do it anytime soon. So, will the chicken be okay to keep, can she function with bent toes?

I have emailed the breeder but I'm not really sure what to do as if I take her back next month when I can I will then have to introduce a lone chicken back, not something I relish doing.

Any ideas - does anyone else have one like this?

Thanks!
