They won't come out in the rain! They live in a sheltered WIR, but the underground stream we have is threatening to flood the garden, so they just squeeze into the coop door and watch the rain come down. ALL DAY. When they were little they liked puddles and mud, but at the grand old age of 10 months they hate to get wet.

Don't worry about it would you go out in the rain if you did not have to? They will come out when thursty and hungry, The coop will be a mess though!

mine don't "do "rain, nor snow(for long) nor frozen ground for long ... or cold!!!!

In fact as it has rained pretty much all day here mine have spent most of the time in front of the fire

though when it was not about half an hour thus morning it was very funny watching the paddlers versus the "ooo can't do that", showed them a way over the plant wall around the flooded path and that was ok. till nasty wet stuff dripped on their backs again, and dashed for the dry

Not being in a covered run, mine have to cope ... but they can make me feel very guilty about it if I'm around!

lol my 3 ex batts and 2 brown ones love the rain, they look like drown rats! the other 5 tho... dont 'do' rain at all. None of them 'do' snow either or cold frozen ground, they stand about on 1 leg

All the blurb about Black Rocks says they have the sense to come in out of the rain - well mine obviously can't read and are out getting soaking wet . I've tried making them stay in but they just pace up and down and shout about the injustice of it.

Mine too! There is no weather that can deter my Black Rocks from their daily mission to destroy my garden!

my chickens don't like being out in the rain/snow etc. but they still come out!!
