My eco solution to rat problems

Had to s"Ooops, word censored!"e mountains of snow off both Eglus this am. Due to the weight, they had bowed considerably and were heartshaped!

 

Was anxious about Monsieur Reynard jumping up, and maybe breaking in.

Hmm... hadn't thought about that, but yes, it could make the structure weaker couldn't it? Don't know if the clips which hold it together would become brittle in extreme cold... mine snap fairly regularly anyway Maybe a prop in the run, like a central tent pole, to help keep the shape and take some of the excess weight would be a good idea?

Your right AnnieP......trouble is I don't fancy scrambling in on my hands and knees!

 

I'm smaller than all my children so no joy there either.

 

I'll have to be vigilant about shifting it before it accumulates too much.
