Jennyhenny
Hi, Can chickens sense things like maybe bad weather coming in or something. My girls have been in a right mood all afternoon All three seem to be standing and looking around, also two of them having ago at one of their mates. Margo's had Holly by the comb so Holly then grabs Popcorn by the comb like in retaliation. Now one of them is having a boc boc boc . I've had a look around and can't see anything likes cats etc. It amazes me how they can be best of friends one minute and then so horrible to each other Jennyhenny
Chicken Shirl
I think they can. Mine always know well before I do when something strange has arrived in the garden, be it animal or human. We have been having some odd weather here and they have moved into trees that give them more protection, their daily routine changed completely too. There behaviour towards each other remained the same. Spring is coming and one of them could be going broody, they can be very odd then with the others. Valkyrie
I'm sure they have selective hearing and sight - you think you have sneaked into the kitchen unnoticed, but when you turn around there they are. Ours will alert us to rats, cats and the fact that someone is hogging the nestbox. I think their sense of smell is very strong too.
