ChrisEllis
Just collected my FIRST ever egg from the pen, and was looking at some pitures of the silkie eggs, and this looked a lot different, and looked exactly like the polands eggs that ere in the incubator...so could it be my polands...who are a month younger...are laying eggs before the silkies who are lie 5 weeks older? The egg seemed big for what size the polands are at the moment, but it was long and thin just like a polands egg.
Redwing
Polands should lay white eggs as far as I know and Slkies lay a tinted pale brown egg so it should be easy to tell

Patricia W
My Polands lay white eggs. The white crested black ones lay a good size egg, the splash Poland lays a diddy egg. I'm still waiting for the frizzles to start, but expect them to lay white diddy eggs. Once they get going they lay every day from Feb to end of Oct- then take a rest.
