craftyhunnypie Posted March 13, 2010 Share Posted March 13, 2010 Today we went Creag Mhor Poultry & got 2 new girls for hubby's chicken shed. He chose a White Star (Leghorn) & a Speckledy. They are 18 weeks & he has named them Shisha & Stella. Shisha is named after a Shisha pipe & Stella after the Egyptian beer we drank on our holidays for the last fortnight. (Not like the Stella here, totally different. I can see this Egyptian theme running for a while. He said he will be back in a couple of months for a Magpie & a Bluebelle & hubby also agreed that I can hatch some Naked Necks! The newbies are in his chicken shed in the broody section he made under the balcony. So separate from the rest at the moment, but they can see them & one or two of the oldies have been investigating & talking to them. We will let them out with the others tomorrow & assess behaviour together. No doubt there will be piccies tomorrow. I love getting new chooks.
