Sal119 Posted March 18, 2010 Share Posted March 18, 2010 Does anyone know why one of my chooks (I'm assuming it's the same one) sometimes lays eggs with wavy, crinkly shells The wavy ones are usually quite large eggs. Mollie333 Posted March 18, 2010 Share Posted March 18, 2010 I've heard stress, my old chickens used to do it.. I'm not so certain but maybe she was having a little trouble with her egg laying. It said:- "Wrinkled shells are probably laid by a hen in over-fat condition, the shell taking the shape of the oviduct which is encased in fat." Weigh"Ooops, word censored!"chers?
