Tutti Frutti
Aha!! I think the question of escaping chickens when you are in a rush/early morning was my main worry when designing the door. Benefit of hindsight... more ideas to confuse you!!! If you have the door 1/3 bottom and 2/3 top, you should be able to open the top and step over the shut bottom to get in but prevent chickens escaping at the same time... Except you can't leave the top open when inside for the sunshine/fresh air whilst de-pooing - hmmmm So maybe 3 x 1/3 - so you can open top 2/3 to get in or, once inside, just top have 1/3 open for fresh air when de-pooing Still with me? Can it get more complicated hehe!?? PS I think you and Mr Frutti have been plotting for world domination! And how many gratuitous smileys can I get in a post? We're hoping a local carpenter will make us a WIR and am now putting that on the top of my must have list (hmmm wonder how soon before I have hurdling chicken )
MrScruff
Yup, I think the 2/3rds door is a great idea too....must remember to put the 1/3rd panel at the bottom though, rather than the top...feeding times will be fun!!! ps-gratuitous smileys are always good....am more than happy to go halves with Mr Frutti on world domination
