WitchHazel Posted March 25, 2010 Share Posted March 25, 2010 With all our hatches last year, we used a heatlamp (when the chicks moved to the brooder in the shed). This year we decided to use an Electric Hen. Ours is 30x30cm, and is (allegedly) suitable for up to 30 chicks. It's only 25watts so is very efficient. The downside is that we can't see the chicks when they are under it when viewing the webcam from the house. Today, I went out and took a couple of pics, thought you might like to see...
