As in my previous post the walk in run is being assembled tomorrow.

We just have the roof to plan ?

What do people generally use would like a cheapish option  but need to keep it dry too.

Does anyone know who is the best supplier of i presume a corrogated plastic :?: The run is 18ft x 51/2 ft

Thanks again

We used to have a corrugated PVC roof but it cracked under the weight of the Dec/Jan snow (despite me clearing it twice a day) and then leaked, making a real mess of the flooring  So just a couple of weeks ago, we fitted a brand new Onduline roof. We bought it from B&Q on one of their "spend £50 get 20% off" weekends. We also got another 15% off for buying 5 sheets so it worked out at about £35 to do our roof (2.1m x 3.4m).

Whatever you go for, make sure you have plenty of overlap between the sheets otherwise rainwater will just suck under and drip drip drip...

If I were to design my run again, I'd have it longer and thinner - as Onduline only comes in 2m lengths!!! Actually, same width as yours!! :)

if you use the clear pvc corrugated sheets they need supporting about every 3 feet minimum in the length on shallow pitch roofs for snow loading thats any none apex roof personally i'd do the same for the Onduline sheets to nether were designd for low pitched roofs think a garage with an appex roof thats the pitch they were designed foor

I was lucky, I searched for corrugated PVC on google when looking into the multitude of corrugated roofing materials.

I found a company who were fairly local to me who sold nothing but corrugated roofing in all materials and shapes.

They mentioned on their website that they always had "seconds" availble due to slight damage to individual sheets.

I took a trip there and they had about 200 sheets in different qualities/sizes/quantities etc so I was able to pick out what I wanted. I ended up getting the premium vistalux clear sheeting which is really thick and each sheet is 3m long x 1m wide.

These would cost almost £30 a sheet new and they let me have 5 for £30! and only one had an inch chip on one corner. They were a little weathered but fine.

So have a search around locally as I found that after doing some research I had at least 4 specialist roofing suppliers within 2 miles of me.
