Cinnamon
Did anyone see 'Grow your own Drugs' this week, where the chap made is own table top Watercress bed? I was really taken with this idea & wondered if anyone else had tried it or is going to give it a go? Just need to find one of those beautiful glass bowls that he had first..... Lesley
Is this a new series? - I don't remember watercress being on before We have thought about it as we have a stream running across one corner of the land - a table-top version might be easier though. Old Speckled Hen
Lesley, don't eat watercress where you have sheep on the land. Sheep fluke can affect people and can be deadly. Having said that I LOVE watercress and I see it growing wild in the streams and ditches here. I've never dared harvest any because of the sheep here. Interesting, I didn't know that. I have a friend that harvests it from a clear stream locally and there are often sheep in the field. I will tell her of the potential danger.
