Eggasperated
I posted about this a few weeks ago and since then Alice has had a few more instances of being hunched and with her tail down, the latest being today. She does it either in the four hours immediately before or after laying an egg. The egg is always normal and of normal weight for Alice (55-60g). Alice then seems to make a miraculous recovery and acts perfectly normally. Today it was before she laid and I thought perhaps she had an impacted crop but after an entire morning looking miserable she went into the nest box, sat there for a couple of hours (normal for Alice), laid an egg and is now fine. I'm really puzzling over her and wonder if anyone has any ideas.
Christian
No idea what could be wrong? Maybe she just doesn't like the feeling of 'about to lay'?? As long as she is ok in herself and eating/drinking ok, I wouldn't worry about her.
Eggasperated
No idea what could be wrong? Maybe she just doesn't like the feeling of 'about to lay'?? Thats almost what it looks like, very strange. She's been fine the last two days so I don't know what triggers it. I guess I'll just have to keep an eye on her and see if I can work it out.
