My two new girls are about twenty one weeks old now, one has started laying. Can someone tell me at what age they stop growing? Also should I change them on to layers pellets instead of growers now or not?

The lady I brought my cochins from said about 9 months - however she did turn out to be a bit of a 'liar' - for want of a better word, so I don't know how true that is.

Yes, put them on layers. My cochin didn't start to lay until she was 10 months old, so you're lucky! Mind you, I've had to wait until spring. I think my girl's still growing as the cochins at a local farm are the size of a small family car. She's still not as big as my hybrid girls and as a large fowl is destined to be. My 10 month old legbar is still growing, so I would imagine that purebreeds do this in their own time! Aren't they gorgeous? !
