Problem with shade (EDIT: Problem solved)

I'm very annoyed right now.

 

So, I ordered a red eglu go from Omlet along with a 20kg bag of layers pellets and some run pegs. We were told that it would be delivered within seven working days. For some reason they could only deliver on a certain day and so It acctually arived 10 days later. When the Eglu finaly arrived it was delivered without the layers pellets or the shade, and the door of the Eglu was broken. We phoned up Omlet and told them about the problem, and they said that they would send a new door, a shade, a nd the layers pellets. Five days later, the new door and layers pellets arrived. The shade also arrived, but it was the wrong shade. It was an Eglu Classic shade and I have an Eglu Go. So, again, we phoned up Omlet to explain the problem and they said that they'd send a new one and come and pick up the faulty door and old shade. Not only was the door picked up a day late but when the new shade came in the post today... and, suprise, suprise, it was an Eglu Classic shade. Again. :evil::evil::evil::evil::evil:

 

EDIT: Spoke with Quin on the phone and he said that he's posted the new shade and that it should come soon. Problem solved :D . Thanks Quin. :angel::D

 

EDIT 2: Recieved the new shade. Everything sorted out now :D .

I hope I don't get the same problems as you have had when I get my Go, chickens and the fencing I have ordered. I think after all the trouble they have caused you they should offer you some extra pellets or something as compensation. I would be feeling angry like you if I received such shoddy service.

That is a shame :( Don`t worry about keep calling Omlet - you are the customer.

 

Was it the Omlet van that delivered or a courier?

 

I hope I don't get the same problems as you have had when I get my Go, chickens and the fencing I have ordered. I think after all the trouble they have caused you they should offer you some extra pellets or something as compensation. I would be feeling angry like you if I received such shoddy service.

 

If you are getting chooks then it will def be Omlet van that delivers so I am sure it will all be 8)

Originally it was a van but they couldn't deliver during the holidays and my parents couldn't take time off work so it was changed to courier.

 

When we phoned up the first time about the faulty door and the missing things from the delivery, Omlet said it was Parcelforce's fault that the layers pellets didn't turn up, (but sent us replacement pellets anyway) but the rest was Omlet's fault because the shade should have been in the box.

 

If you are getting chooks then it will def be Omlet van that delivers so I am sure it will all be 8)

 

I didn't buy my chooks from Omlet.

I hope you don't have any problems either :) . I don't really want compensation though, I'd be happy with just getting what I've paid for! :(

Blimey I'm not surprised at how you must feel about the whole situation!

 

I can only but appologise for the service you've received! I must admit I do not recall speaking with you when you originally brought this to our attention, if I did I'm sorry I did not sort the matter out imediatley!

 

If I could ask you to PM me your order number and contact details I'll contact you in the morning and we can sort out these issues once and for all...

 

It is not our intention to cause distress to customers and I would not wish you to loose faith in Omlet, so I hope you can give me the opportunity to deal with your concerns first hand!

 

I look forward to hearing from you soon.

 

P.S sorry for the short reply - I'm on my mobile and my eyes have started to go squiffy!!

Sorry, just an after thought - the shade for the eglu classic is designed to fit the eglu go - I know when I first got my eglu go I questioned the shade issue and after trying it out I discovered that they do indeed fit one another!

 

Again I'm sorry about how you feel, anyone who knows me will be able to tell you how awful I'd feel knowing someone is less than satisfied with the service they received...

Good Morning,

 

Thank you for your PM LuckyChickenLover - I'll give your mum a call later today to sort out the winter shade issue...

 

Just to let those of you that are unsure about the classic winter shade fitting the go - this morning I took a photo of a classic winter shade attached to the go run and although it does overlap by an inch or so at the front it fits perfectly fine.

 

I've attached a photo just to show you what it should look like...

Hello everyone...

 

You must have been reading my mind...

 

I have been outside with the eglu go again having a play with the shades...

 

The summer shade for the eglu classic does fit the run on the eglu go - I've attached another photo to demonstrate this...

As you all correctly state the eglu go does have a shade of it's own which is a different shape to that of the classic, however just wanted to assure you that both fit the other...

 

LuckyChickenOwner - if you could assure your mum that I have personally packed the correct shade for the eglu go and have sent it out 1st class post and this should arrive with you on around Tuesday.
