Is this usual? My chickens are so fussy! They wont touch the corn(typical as i bought 2 sacks from omlette!)They eat their layers pellets, potato and bread. They wont touch any fruit or veg i buy but devour all garedn plants inc strawberry plants, pansy, honeysuckle ,lillies etc etc

Mine are all day free rangers and wont eat any vegetables or fruit given to them by me except sweetcorn and grapes. They were quite happy to eat all of the tops off my potato plants and all of the leaves and fruit off my raspberry canes too

are they hybrids by any chance?

my 2 hybrids were really picky when I first got them home last year.they hadn't been outside for much more than a month before I brought them then that was only on concrete so all they had eaten was mash, it took them best part of 2 weeks to get used to the pellets the only greens they'd eat were chick weed and dandelions which I'd got plenty of at the time as for cabbages and fruit they didn't touch them until I got my 3 wernlas girls the end of last june they eat any thing that was put in front of them they also tought the other 2 how to pick the tomatoes and cuecumbers and that cabbage was food and not a scary monster

WIsh mine would eat dandelions - my grass is full of them. They did not even look at them yesterday.

Mine are the same. They wont eat the sweet corn or cabbage I hang in the run - they dont seem to know what to do with it. Any veggies that I put out are left but they do love spaghetti - I think that they think it is worms!
