Omlet cube and run

Hi everyone

 

At present we have two houses with runs, the one run having a 12 foot run and elevated house where we have 6 chickens living in as they were the first ones that we purchased, these girls are coming up for 2 years old.

 

Our other girls live in a smaller run with an elevated house and there are 8 of them in there. Question would it be possible to swap the girls homes over and would it cause any problems and if so how could we go about it.

 

As always any help would be appreciated.

yes its no problem, swap them over after dark for an easy transition

 

Be aware that if you free range them they may try to go to the wrong home, maybe keep them in the run for at least a week

I moved mine from eglu to cube, I put them into the cube rather than the run so that they had an idea of where 'bed' was, it seemed to work as they took themselves to bed when it started to get dark. They did seem to look longingly at their old home for a few days
