I saw a post about the oldest battery hen and am just wondering who has the oldest hen and how long do they live on average.

Have had Mrs pepperpot for 5 years now and she is still laying eggs, but only 3 per week now on average.

So there we are so far

Mrs Pepperpot 5 years old. Any advance on that

20 weeks old! 0 eggs to date. I lose

Chuckles is the Pepperpot from my original Omlet pair, and she's just over five and a half years old now & as fit as ever. I think she's still laying too. Lovely natured hen, & as busy as ever.
