stoice
Just watched a re-run or 'How clean is your house' and was shown a cheap fly trap I thought I'd share with you. Pour a little ACV (Or any 'fruity' vinegar really, malt will do, just not the clear white stuff) into an empty clean jam jar (about an inch will do). Add a little dollop of washing liquid, to change the surface tension so the little blighters sink, then cover the jar with cling film. Punch a few holes in the cling film and ta-da. A DIY fly catcher. I haven't tried it yet (I've used fly papers and the stinky red top traps before) but just thought of all of us with ACV! Apparently the smell of the vinegar is a little like fruit that has rotted so it attracts the flies, they can't get out because of the cling film (But should get in ok) and drown in the ACV. I'm going to give it a go if the flies are bad this year.
