jellykelly
The cock-a-doodle-doo is a sure give away - other then that, I have no idea. A picture may help (we all like piccies!) - and I'm sure someone will be along to give you a more helpful answer.
Guest
It depends how old but if the wottles are hanging lower than the others and the comb is prouder than the others it might be 'MIGHT' be a cock but nothing is for sure.
Gem_Seb
I've been listening out for a crow but we sleep at the front of the house and they are at the bottom of our quite large garden! Im not awake at that time of the morning either! A neighbour has commented that they are noisey at 6.30am but that might just be all of them as they tend of bicker over food! Ill try and get some pics up! the wottles are def bigger than the others!
Guest
Look at pictures on the internet of male and female pekins at a certain age. then that should tell you.
Redwing
Pekins are dead easy to sex, the cockerels are really obvious even from a young age - some pics will help or as Rhys says Google for pics
madchickenlady
Pekins can usually be sexed from about four weeks. Are they the same colour?
ValerieR
Probably stupid question but do cockerels not have different "bits" to hens? Surely they don't have a vent? Or does their botty look just the same??
