ejaym39
Hello chicks Just wanted some advice. 4 out of 7 of my ladies are showing signs of the sniffles and rattly breathing. I'm sure they have the start of an upper respiratory infection as they are well in themselves in every other way. Eating, drinking and running around. I have seperated them into another part of the pen away from the others. I have some Baytril from their last episode and hav put it in their water which they are drinking and keeping an eye on the oher 3 who appear to be ok. Do I have to throw any eggs away that I get from the ladies on Baytril? And can I get Baytril online or does it have to come from the vets. Vets are very nice but don't appear to have much experience with my ladies. Thank yu all Em Egg
The Dogmother
You will need to discard any eggs while they are on antibiotics. It's best not to squirrel drugs away fro future use; they could be ineffective when you next use them. The vet will need to see one of the birds (legal requirement) before prescribing the drugs. Can I suggest that you phone around a few vets in your area and find one who does have poultry experience.
