is there always a runny poo

Recommended Posts

I have 4 chickens and it seems like there is always a runny poo in the run or garden. I don't know if its all from one chicken or if it is a combined effort although the colours are quite different. There is never runny poo in the trays, only on the ground. I know from the forum that all sorts of poo are normal and one in ten are probably runny. Between them would 4 chickens produce a runny poo every day? Sorry for bringing up the poo topic again, I'm still new and paranoid. I don't want to dose them with antibiotics if this is normal.

thanks

Colette

Yes, we get a certain number of runny, curry colour poo's every day. Very rarely is there a curry poo in the hen-house in the morning but during the day they do at least two curry one's each  I must admit, for us the garlic in the drinking water does work, their poo is less smelly and they must be getting more used to the garlic now because I can't smell it on their breath when I cuddle them and they chirup :D

Thanks, that put my mind at rest. I wonder why its not inside the henhouse, just outside. Its almost like they can control it.. That lovely curry poo is also not great to kneel on when you are checking who is in the cube after dark :vom: .
